No boys today, I miss them. We travelled to the peninsular to celebrate the wedding of two wonderful people we get to call our friends.
It’s nice to be ‘Ashlee’ and not ‘Mum’ every now and again, to read a book on the sand and enjoy a meal out without interuption, conversate with my husband and enjoy time with friends.
I am looking forward to seeing them soon.

That smile, it truly melts me.
Peyton Ashdon your strength, resliance and character truly make my life so much richer.
You are a ball of fun, you push all the buttons in every way and then squeeze me so tightly and say tell me how much you love me almost daily right at breaking point.
You have taught me patience I never knew I had, that my home will not be clean until you have grown up and left and that a smille speaks so much more that one thousand words.
It is something I will never tire of seeing.

This afternoon you quietly snuck off to spend a moment in peace with your favourite companion, Peter.
You take him most places, he is always 1st in your suitcase for a sleepover, comes to tea parties and on walks.
You find such comfort and joy in your little friend and it’s a joy to watch.

Our busy January days are catching up on us all, these two nap occasionally, usually when I have decided they need it. Today they asked for a nap with me so I sat in between them, rubbed their backs and watched them sleep.

My little drawing dragon.
Drawing is kind of a new, you have always liked the idea but lacked the confidence in your pen skills. Saying mum blue here and pointing to what you wanted blue, but not wanting to do it yourself, but in the last month or so you seem to be getting more confident and asking to draw more often. Of course it’s all the more fun drawing when your a dragon too.
