Waiting for you, wondering if you will have your Daddies hair or my speckled skin, what adventres will you go on with our Nash and will you love cricket as much as your dad or spend your days chasing the sun with me. Waiting in excitment and anticipation to meet you.

In life we have many loves, all of varying degrees. A love for a friend, a love for a partner, but the love of a parent by far is the deepest love of all.
It’s not until you hold you own you understand your parents, your respect and grattidue for them multiplies instantly.
Experencing this new love, deepens our exsisting loves as we discover this pool has to end, the depth can never be reached, each time you think you may have reached the bottom it has seemingly disappeared and the outpouring continues for these tiny beings.

The world is your oyster… something we all hear and say, but do we really understand it or take advantage of it?

This lady sure has, a little over 12 months ago now she took on 10 months of solo travel throughout South America and the United States. She first visited the UK and Europe in her teens with her mum, she has since made her way back there with friends over the following years, as well as many other parts of the world. She has made travel part of her life, feeding her need for freedom and independence. It’s a unique education for living, not taking life for granted and making the most of everyday.

Some may say she is no good with feelings, but I have to disagree. She can be guarded, to me this is because she knows her feelings, her energy and she protects it. She empowers herself, holds herself up and does what’s best by her. This is something I admire of her, and something I hope she truly sees as one of her many strengths. She is also the life of the party, generally one of the last ones standing and celebrates all the people she loves to the fullest.

This is just scratching the surface with Jess, she is also a teacher, a loyal friend, a lover and at the end of last year completed her master’s in nutrition. Fear is not in her vocabulary, if there’s something she wants, she will go get it, but at the same time, patience is her friend. There’s no reason to rush these things too much. She is organised but not rushed and takes all that life throws her in her stride, it’s just a detour, a new adventure never and obstacle or backward step.

This woman has climbed Machu Picchu, visited and hiked the rugged Italian coast, had high tea in London, taco’s in Mexico and ridden a bike through Cali. The world is her oyster in every sense of the saying. I love watching her take on this thing called life.

Some lovers are about laughter, some are about affection, some keep to themselves, each love is unique to the realationship, intertwining two personalities to create something that is theirs alone.

This love is full of joy and of passion. It’s loud and proud and it was amazing to capture. They did not hold back and hide, they spoke openly, held hands, danced and expressed their utter joy and appreciation for each other and for the miracle that growing a baby is.

To be in the presnce of this joy and to record this time, honest and true was a beautiful expreiece for us all, we walked back to our cars full of life and love, hugs and joy at all that was shared and the moments expierenced. This is the kind of love I love to photograph.

Life is what you make it.. a saying we all know and hear, but do we make it?
Do we shape our dreams and push outside our comfort zones and really reach for the stars.

For some the stars are light years away but even one step in the right direction today will get you closer than yesterday.

Life for this lovely woman, looked nice. Good job, married to her sweetheart, a dog and she genuinely enjoyed her life.
With the greatest of highs comes the lows. Loosing two people close to her in a matter of months a few years ago was a huge shock. Death reminds us all our time is limited and not to take anything for granted. It was the beginning of a major change for Amanda, it was the low that lead her to quit a good job, one she had loved as she deiced to work part time and study. Such a massive shake up to life as she knew it.

At the end of this year, Amanda will be the 1st person in her family to have a degree, she has put blood sweat and tears into each semester for the last few years to study nursing. She had planned a New York holiday and many other things, but a little itch to become a nurse took over when life reminded her you only get one go.

She took a risk, she ignored comfort zones and poured her heart into her study. Very soon she will achieve something pretty incredible. Something not all of us can say we have done. More than a piece of paper she followed her heart and pushed for her dreams.
